Each year we hear the phrase and cringe to ourselves, knowing full well those people will remain the same as they’ve always been. We can generally say that trends stay the same for the most part; if there are any changes at all, they’re small and slight. Horror is no different.
They’re so frightening, so unnerving, that the buildup they create for the movie is utterly incomprehensible.
It seems that no matter how terrible our monsters are, we cannot escape them. We are meant to be.
